Three months on, Umrah pilgrim still missing

An Indian pilgrim from the state of Kerala who came to the Kingdom for Umrah three months ago went missing after wandering outside of his hotel room.

Relatives are still looking for Mohammed Rashid Mustafa, 82, from Kallambalam, near Thiruvanandapuram.

“We lost Mustafa while we were at the Grand Mosque in Makkah,” one relative told Arab News.
Mustafa had come to the Kingdom with an Umrah group on April 27.

“He returned to the hotel room after performing Umrah. He eventually went outside to have tea, but did not come back. He was wearing a white ‘dhoti’ (traditional men’s garment worn in India) and a shirt and had not taken his identity card and specs,” the relative said.

Mustafa’s relatives and friends have launched a massive search for him in Makkah at nearby hospitals and other places, but have been unable to find him. They have also informed police.
Anyone who finds Mustafa can contact 0502670412 or 0569632562.
